Shadow Play to Race in 2009

Great news today (http://www.ustrotting.com/absolutenm/anmviewer.asp?a=29700&z=1) from the old and new connections of Little Brown Jug winner Shadow Play. Plans now are to bring the 3YO colt back for a 2009 campaign, then retire him to stud duty in New York in 2010.

It has been a great year for harness racing fans, and the news that Shadow Play will be back gives indication that 2009 will be great, too...

It has been a great year for harness racing fans, and the news that Shadow Play will be back gives indication that 2009 will be great, too...

Perhaps, that is a wise decision, as he should be a Monster in his 4-yo season, provided that he stays well and sound... He has such a high turn of speed, and without SBSW in training he should be a heckuva challenger to Mr. Big for the yearly top pacing honors ......He will be a nice addition to the somewhat, of late, class starved National Open Pacing Ranks....

Hey Postime, glad you mentioned that....I thought he was going to the "fatherland" next year.....That will definitely make 09' a good time for the FFA's....cool....Records may fall.....These two guys are quite capable, and if they mature as they should, watch out........
