Tom, I seem to be missing this feature....I am an exclusive user of Trackmaster programs, and I have searched this site fairly well since reading your post, and I have not seen this free features anywhere on the site.........Where am I going wrong ?

Not only individual fraction times for the quarters but also for the front, middle, last parts of the race and first 3 quaters compared to last 3 quarters,

The clocked times are correct of course but I prefer adjustments to account for racing wides.

Thanks Ray, that link worked quite well.......

Quite an impressive amount of new info now available, very impressed..

The individual 1/4 times have long been a reality of sports-eye's past performances.......but the rest of the stuff is quite unique to harness racing, and I must say it's about time........

Thx, again Ray........

Gentlemen:

The only negative I can see is that landscape printing.........doubles the amount of pages that you print.

The following from their web page:

"This will not be replacing any of the existing formats you may already use and enjoy it will be an entirely separate product"

It is about time that this info was made available. Now only if times were published in hundredths...

In the new Trackmaster pp format........what is the theory behind showing the first 3/4 mile compared to the last 3/4 mile................?????

Sinner369, I don't see any use for them either.

The difference between 1st and 4th Q times is the same as the difference between the 3/4 sum times and to me, is easier to read, so I ignore the 3/4's columns. Also the ranks are of little use to me. (A field of 8 hot headed pullers would still have to have some horse ranked 8th).

The value in the new pace numbers depends if you're using them to evaluate an entry's strength in one of his PP lines, or using them to predict today's probable pace.

If looking at a PP line then knowing the pace number for the section of the race where this horse used his brush gives added incite into "was this a strong move" or just a so-so passing if tired leaders. (Shades of PIPS) The front, middle, and back pace numbers are useful here.

If using these new numbers for today's pace prediction, the "Pace style" numbers come in handy. I believe they're based on calls not speed fractions. (link shows pace styles help)

http://www.trackmaster.com/harness/info/ratings.htm

Also I'm not sure what the significance is for the overall pace rating for an entry (In the box with the power, class and speed ratings)

I'm about an hour away from the proposed site of the "Valley View" track/casino, which now should be called "Ohio State Line View" track but the politics involved means it will probably never get settled. I haven't seen anything new since state Attorney General Tom Corbett got involved back in July.
Maybe Centaur pulled out?

Hell it took them months to decide if the seats at the Meadows casino could be movable.:D

I miss The Meadows, It was seeing Speed Somoli and Howard Beissinger go by me at the rail that got me interested in Harness racing, 30 years ago.
I'd guess night racing will return, coordinated some day with the new mile track.

ps. oops my error "incite" - "insight" I wasn't trying to cause a riot.:)

So...where are the new files?
Not showing as an option at TM.

Apparently they are "so new" that Trackmaster has not integrated the option into their website:
http://www.trackmaster.com/cgi-bin/axprodlist.cgi?tfp

Go figure!
It seems that all this would have been done prior to offering free downloads for two days in an attempt to advertise their product for the future.

I've sent Trackmaster an inquiry with a link to this thread.

No matter how much data you have, the bottom line is, you still have to make a decision. To much data confuses and its to espensive.

Except when the info is useful. And if you win, it is free.

No Problem Tom.

You may find it quite interesting that David Siegel particpated in the "Billings Series" this year and last as an amateur driver (drivers required by the Billings format to donate any drivers winnings) last year and this year has done quite well.

The Billings Series offers a very great tradition from very early days of harness racing were many men and women were dedicated to local driving clubs and supported their dedication with both contributions and their sweat.

You may be able to gather some info here, however there are regular press releases via the USTA homepage.
