Every year a few people ask about what date it was done. I'm going to take a guess that it was for the 10/31 card this year looking at the times. Unless, of course, they ran a card for trotters and pacers.

Cj, did the 8-10 second difference in times give it away? Or was it the variants going like 25 points slower?

In years past it has been different. There are times where it is real loose and off the pace types do well. There have been times where the speed sometimes just runs off, but the number one factor I think is fitness. Horses coming off layoffs usually don't do so well. I haven't paid much attention to it so far this year.
