View Full Version : What just happened at MED?
In the Meadowland's Race 1 on Thursday, October 30th, the show pools looked awful weird.
The two-horse entry was 4-to-5 in the win pool and had $4339 bet on it out of the $11,604 show pool.
Now the weird part -- The 4 horse was 70-to-1 in the win pool and had $3185 bet on it in the show pool.
The results 1A-1-8. The entry paid $3.20 to show.

I saw that as well. Funky.
$3.20 was an overlay with those two, imo, and someone made some money.
The 4-Sherry Wine finished last.
I can only imagine it was a miss punch by someone. Pushed 4 instead of 1 on a numeric keypad or selected the wrong track. I feel bad for both the patron and teller if this was the case.

pretty weird. perhaps they got the bet down for the wrong race. i think the 4 came in 3rd in the next race and paid 7.80

Did one part of the entry have post 4? maybe in the drf this guy had no numbers and just assumed the horse he liked was the 4?

Maybe someone was trying to boost the payoff on a large bet they made on the entry OUTSIDE of the pools?
