This is good stuff...just shows you where America's mentality is at the moment, and how influential the media has become in depicting McCain as the Devil and Palin as someone who deserves to be hung by a noose (although I'm sure Suff agrees with all of the above):

I particularly enjoyed this passage:
Whitmore said that potential hate crimes are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If the same display had been made of a Barack Obama-like doll, for example, authorities would have to evaluate it independently, Whitmore said.
"That adds a whole other social, historical hate aspect to the display, and that is embedded in the consciousness of the country," he said, adding he's not sure whether it would be a hate crime. "It would be ill-advised of anybody to speculate on that."Not sure whether it would be a hate crime? Puhleeze....Are these people for real?
Here's what would happen if that doll would have looked like Obama instead of Palin:
a) Homeowner would have been arrested
b) Home would have been destroyed by angry mob of protesters
c) No silly talk of "right to free speech"
d) No silly "Halloween" or "Political Expression" defense allowed

It's why people do not want to run for office.
Love her or hate her, she is a middle class women from a small town, with a family who is simply running for an office. No one deserves this.
I saw that episode of Family Guy too where the Nazi's were wearing McCain buttons. My gosh that is some terrible stuff. I don't know what inspires people to do these things.
Hang one of Obama up and see what the out come will be. I bet it will not be the same.

Federal agents have disrupted a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate dozens of black students in Tennessee, the ATF said Monday.
In court records unsealed Monday, federal agents said they broke up plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school by two neo-Nazi skinheads. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.
A source in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told FOX News the two skinheads, who were picked up in Crockett County, Tenn., were plotting to shoot 88 black students -- and decapitate 14. The source said officials believe the suspects were planning to attempt an assassination against Obama.
The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.
But officials could not describe how advanced or credible the plot was

She's smart, funny, ambitious, great looking, a mother, a hunter and sports enthusiast... What's not to like? Nice person, just not what I see as Federal level talented. But of the four canditates, I like her the most. Good kid.

If you'd do a little research you'd see that there have already been previous effigies hung up of Obama already. Most recently at Univ. of Kentucky. The media and most on this board ignores when it is him.
At George Fox University, a Christian school,in Oregon had students hang up an Obama effigy.

The reason this is getting so much play is because it has been allowed to stay up.
