R1 presents a challenge: The FAV #5 is now ~~9:5 with 20 mins
to post. Now, theres nothing wrong with this FAV but is she
able to go a 1-turn mile after a 6f race off a 60-day layoff. The
idea is this: in her layoff race she broke in a tangle but still finshd
2nd ... quite a good effort & so, the thinking goes, she's ready
today? Yeah yeah but theres just too many unknows in this race
like #4 who broke alertly last time & closed nicely. You can safely
throw out the #2,6,9,12,13 .... No Problem with doing that. If
any horse runs seriously with #5, then #5 loses for sure; in other
words, for me, this is a watch race. Yesterday, BTW, was a def
speed track so you had to be up there early.
