Back next weekend
(Need to sharpen the pencil for Clocker's contest:) )

Actually I do not like pencil or chalk...thank heavens for the first of the ink pens that had a round barrel of ink to refill them .....it was 1 step ahead of the old ink-well and feather....Using a thick pencil (lead was the problem) I received "E" for handwriting through 3rd grade and to this day I can't read my own writing...but if was for something really important I used a cross of printed and long-hand so I could decode it for later...I refused to take part in a 4th grade Art Mural which consisted of using various colors of chalk....hearing the screech of chalk gave me a bad case of the "Heebie Jeebies".... That brought on a Teacher-Parent meeting but I held my ground and did not touch the chalk....In 9th grade Algebra we had to keep our homework in 1 notebook dedicated to it...(No Ink allowed did not want errors scribbled or crossed off) and of course I fought that...Sooooooooo the teacher let me use a ball-tipped pen as long as I didn't make a mistake...so I did and for the year their were no mistakes in that book!
Then when I started going to the track..I discovered Red was my fine-line pen of choice....and now....I do not print out a program...I use Adobe 6 with the built in red (actually any color you want) pen which can do whatever paper and pen used to do..but now truly in a paperless environment at home.....I have not gone to the track in about a year and a half...I will again someday...but hey...You can't beat staying at home while Handicapping Harness....See ya at the contest....Have a nice day Handicapping Harness!

Yep, the age of the 'paper and pencil' is gone. We're not too far from an i-phone applet
that once a day retrieves the track program, handicaps the races, transfers the money
from your bank checking account to ADW, makes the bet, and calls you with the bad news.:D

Looking forward to the contest.:)
