Good ol evening attire. He was sizing up the rivals in his walk around the paddock, guess he thought he was heading out there.

Its a shame about his injury because I think he could have been a major factor in the marathon

Finally got to see his pretty face without the blinkers. He's put on a few pounds. He's adorable, glad he came out a winner and in good health.

He was clearly not happy about not getting to run the race. He also was a complete ham, stopping frequently to get his picture taken. You could see the place where he was wounded as there was clearly still some sort of salve on his ankle are, but it looked to be healing up well.

He's a wolf in sheep's clothing, that EA. Got some kind of big bad tiger going on inside him, so confident, he's adored by so many. I too wish he could have been in the marathon. Heck he won in blind snow, so what's polytrack to him.

Evening Attire had his own day at Belmont on the 25th of October 2008. The old warrior is some ham and mugged and posed for pictures in the paddock. NYRA put on a nice presentation for him and even customized the wagering terminals with his picture.

There wasn't coverage of it on HRTV or TVG due to the breeders cup, or if it was I missed it. What a nice thing they did, even on the terminals that's cool.
I bet he did think he was going to race, the old warrior.

I am a huge fan of his and will miss him dearly. I'm down south so there was no way I would have ever been able to see him BUT when I went to Belmont this year I was ever so lucky enough to meet him in person in his barn. He is a ham and he surely knows who he is but he's a nice boy too. And it was so much fun that day to hear the crowd screaming for him. I'm really happy I got the chance to give him a peppermint and a pat.

I hope he has a happy life and doesn't get too rambuctious on the farm, maybe if he does he can come back as a stable pony....

What an amazing looking horse. I did not realize he was such a pretty animal. Seems like he gets dirty really fast on the track.

More pictures from Evening Attire Day. The brown horse is Lisa B, who is a half sister to Evening Attire. She is a 3 year old filly who will be racing soon.

If you feel led, I'm sure that they would graciously accept any donations to help defray costs and continue the great work they do.

Not sure if it was this forum but a while back someone posted a picture of the break of one of his races. All the horses are at least 2 steps out while he was still standing in the gate.

If anyone has that, please post again. One of my favorites of his.

Thanks for that. Pic is so funny. He know's he'll be trailing anyway so why rush out of the gate?
