TVG needs to sign this guy, at least to cover the UK races. He is fun to watch. I remember watching him when I was stationed of in England in 1990-1992. He's fun to watch, has interesting hand gestures. He would be standing out in the crowds, by the odds makers with chalk boards.

He's a delightful character in small doses.
More than that and he's a total boor.
Last year, he was on a Celebrity Big Brother BBC show.
The other guests found him so obnoxious that he was the second person evicted. To his credit, John knew he was getting booted. He had his coat on before the announcer could say that he was "gonzo."

He's both interesting and iritating. Given how people here complain about seemingly all TVG air staff, I guess he'd fit right in. :D

Everything in small quantities I guess. Don Rickles is interesting too, but he usually couldn't get his own sitcoms to last to the end of Season 1. "Mutton Chops" seems like guy that enjoyable for 1-3 minutes but long before 30 minutes the TV audience is longing for a commercial <makes a famous Don Rickles broad facial/hands gesture for 'Oh Brothe! Do believe this putz is serious?! Enough already!'>
