BC Filly and Mare Sprint

The 1st race of BC offers a solid chance to get things off on the right foot. A very competitive race to get it started. Indian Blessing will face the stiffest test of her young career. Speed from all directions will test her, and that final furlong looks like it will be a struggle. Dream Rush, Indyanne, La Tee (Could Stalk), Lady Sprinter, Dearest Trickski will make for a blistering pace that could set up a closer. Closers include Intangaroo, Jazzy, Miraculous Miss, Magnificience, Tizzy’s Tune will look to make their late bid. Ventura coming off a huge try in the Woodbine Mile looks to be a horse ready to fire a big shot late for Bobby Frankel. Cutting back to 7 panels and with a real hot pace, she looks to have a good shot for a win. Venturais our top pick for the win, and might be one of the better bets of the entire BC. Zaftig is another coming off a huge number beating Indian Blessing in The Acorn, coming in off a June layoff.

Top Pick- Ventura

BC Filly and Mare Turf

One of classiest, deepest races of the entire card, it is too bad this race is not Saturday. It should be. Wait a While who is three for 3 over the Santa Anita turf will be among the deserved favorite when they enter the gate later, and she faces a slew of gutsy champions. Dynaforce, Mauralakana, Vacare, Forever Together, Halfway to Heaven and Gondolphins Folk Opera offer stiff challenges and are all top notch turf horses. Wait a While has been tremendous this year and has an affinity for SA’s turf course. She is a legitimate favorite. Halfway to Heaven is GI winner in England for Team Tabor, but has never been the distance. Forever Together has a big late closing kick, never been the distance, but could be there late. Top pick her is the Classy late charging Mauralakana who gets back to a firm course. She has banked over a million this year and looks ready for a big try off the Flower Bowl. Winner of the Beverly D and is a 5 time winner and the distance is no issue. She is the top pick here. She also like a firm course and will get it. The older Fillies look to have an edge on the 3 year olds.Wait A While, Mauralakana, Vacare, Forever Together, Dynaforce, Folk Opera should all be used in Pick bets.

Top Pick- Mauralakana

BC Ladies Classic

The biggest favorite of the BC is in her. Zenyatta who is undefeated in 8 career starts faces a small but toughest group of here career. Zenyatta is also a confirmed Poly specialist with a score over the new Pro Ride. She faces defending champion Ginger Punch who has run many hard races this year and will try Pro Ride for the first time. 3 horses’ offer a legitimate shot to end the winning streak. Godolphin’s Cocoa Beach coming off a win in the Beldame will be making here this start off the layoff and looks ready to fire a top race here. She has also won grass, indicating the Pro Ride should not be an issue. She is sitting on a big effort. Godolphin also has super 3-year-old filly Music Note, the runaway winner of the Mother Goose and CCA Oaks at Belmont. 2 for 2 at the distance looms another big threat if she runs back.. 3 solid works in preparation for this. And the sleeper of the crew. The Phipps owned Carriage Trail who romped at 1 1/8 over the Pro Ride should be used at a price. Shug has been known to have them ready on BC Day. Pace looks to be lively as Hystericalady, Bear Now and Ginger Punch along with Santa Teresita look to be forwardly placed making for a good pace for the closers. Cocoa Beach looms a large threat and will be our top pick for the win. Zenyatta, Cocoa Beach, Music Note, Carriage Trail should all be used. And win play at big odds is not a bad idea. I feel Ginger Punch has raced a few gut busters this year, but leaving off would be disaster if she won, so use her to.

Top Pick- Cocoa Beach

Stevie Belmont...excellent take on these races... I posted my picks, and after reading your post, I may be in for disappointment...but, I'm stickin' to my picks, which are pretty much 'bets' from the gut and my heart, and watching the Works TV show (I know it's sad I don't handicap anymore)...for me and myself...it's all about fun and watching the best races and horses... may the best horses win, regardless of odds and may they all come back safe & sound.
Best of luck to the handicappers:ThmbUp:

Ventura is 2/1....Not a great value win play on day where one is looking for a big score.

Ill use in in a pick 3 and still

Some dutch plays make sense here, bug prices up there...

Good call on that one, she ran by the rest pretty easily. Frankel said the outside post helped her a lot.
