Try to keep this weekend rolling with these 6 longshot picks
not my best tracks, but couldn't find anything else I liked.

ML>7, Betting Win, Str Tri, and Exacta 3 Horse Box

Freehold R9.........534 Thedonsson N 8/1 Rin Tin Cin 3/1 Lady Marian 9/2
Rin Tin Cin has a nice 3 yr old win record, but I'll go with the aged trotter
and the Catman to stalk him all the way. The mare Lady Marian, big threat with Bartlett

Freehold R13........458 Nice And Happy 8/1 Miss Maeberry 10/1 Bon Mot 12/1
My first bet on George Brennan since he's back. Trainer Sarah Andrews was 9 for 14 last year

Maywood R11.........724 Im Yosemite Sam N 15/1 One Park Place 3/1 Barchetta N 5/2
Put up a nice win at Maywood on Aug 8 in this class from PP2.
Does he have the speed and class to overcome PP7 ?, worth a shot.

Meadows R5..........124 Dancing Kassady 12/1 Blackberry Tea 5/1 Manhattan Design 6/1
Only filly in this claimer, the 6 has the speed and has Palone but it looks like the owners
want to get rid of her. I'll go for a real longshot here with Dancing Kassady, 2nd start back after layoff.

Pompano R13.........814 Sos Rivertrail 8/1 Twin B Maddi 4/1 Canaco Piment 9/2
Canadian horse, driver and trainer in the Florida sunshine:)
Trainer Mario Dessureault has a good record at RIDC 7 for 34 (ROI 25% if betting him)

Woodbine R5.........549 Lulas Filly 8/1 Queen Of Royalty 8/1 Lady Mach 4/1
Queen was my pick last race with Tetrick, a playback horse, Lulas is over 50% on the board
for last 2 years, and the Lady has the class and speed to overcome the 9 hole

Good Luck To All!

Thanks titans,

I didn't get to see the race, and couldn't find an explanation.

Hope nobody was hurt. Wonder if Brennan was in it?

Bartlett's horse went down then Abbatiello's bike caught Bartlett's and he then went down and then got ran over by the horse behind him. Brennan and Berry got dumped but got right up and walked off. Abbatiello was down and not moving for the entire racing, the was also a horse no moving as well but he might have still be attached to the sulky. Abbatiello and Bartlett both took off their drives at Yonkers last night and they probably won't drive tonight either. I wish the USTA site would give some sort of update as there is no mention of the incident.

EDIT: Just checked the live stream for Freehold and Bartlett will be driving this afternoon so he is fine, unfortunately for Abbatiello he is going to be out for a few months(no injury was specified).

Heres the reported list of Abbatiello's injuries thanks to standardbred canada's website:

Trot Insider has learned that Abbatiello reportedly suffered a ruptured spleen, a collapsed lung, multiple broken ribs, a broken collarbone and is experiencing issues with one of his shoulders. Early reports indicate that Abbatiello will be on the shelf for at least six months.

The early consensus from those close to the accident are that his helmet - which was thoroughly cracked down the middle - saved Abbatiello's life. He is presently in intensive care at Jersey Shore Hospital in Neptune, New Jersey to closely monitor the spleen injury and the lung problem. Here's to a speedy recovery and hopefully he will drive again.
