In this Board's opinion and at this late time, what could I get that might help

me to take a whack at a few of these B/C's race's this weekend?

I have seen tha Horseplayer Magazine, mentioned in another post

maybe the Bloodhorse, but where could I

get them while out here on the road, Borders, a track maybe, something

online that I could print out. I not sure yet where I will be, might be the Bronx

could be Pittsburgh, or headed to Mississippi, for my new job, not sure yet.

Just wondering If anyone had any Idea's or suggestions, that's all.

Thank you if you do

Patrick Kane

I will be playing Duke of Marmalade to win in the Classic.

Duke will be dangerous on the synthetic surface, BUT, DON'T overlook CASINO DRIVE.

Just grab some pp's the night before. Spend a couple of hours studying them. Stick with your own picks and have fun.

The most practical and obvious sometimes eludes me, great advice.

Maybe I should just get back basics, the Daily Racing Form, paper form, a few Highlighters and a pot of Coffee, and get busy.

Again great advice, honestly

Expect to find a lot of good horses in most every race, and lots of potential winners or in the money finishers. Lots of talent crammed into most every race, often too hard to find just one good horse. Tons of potential, tons of possibilities in the exotics, but also an even bigger likelihood that a good horse or combination of good horses will run out - so many can could do well on BC day, or peak at the right time. Don't be mad if you swing & miss. The more valid contenders, the lower the hit rate, and the higher the payoff you might want to look for - BC day(s) are usually good for prices.

Last year, betting on ability worked pretty well, I suspect this year will be a similar deal. If I sent you the ratings, do you suppose you could do anything with them?

Always glad to help someone get someone back to the basics! Sometimes simple is best. I actually try to ignore as much BC info as possible so I won't be influenced by anything other than my own handicapping the night before the races. I avoid the BC articles in the DRF or newspaper. I avoid the BC section of this forum! It's worked for me three of the last four years.
