I told you guys the race would "tighten up" heading towards the wire...my cynical side said this would be so as to prevent all the non-hardcore Obama supporters from staying home figuring Obama was so far out in front in the polls, that it was a slum dunk cinch...why bother going out to vote?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- With two weeks and one day until Election Day, a new national poll of likely voters suggests the race for the White House may be tightening up.

the tightening will continue all the way to election day, at which point they'll all be saying its a statistical dead heat.
as many of us have been saying the polls are manipulated to help get out the vote for democrats and influence the early voters. some on here and in the media are already doing a vistory dance, are in for a real surprise.

that's true for "Registered" voters but the "likely" voters samples are closer. Believe it or not they have two likely voters models that they use. One more Republican than the other. http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx

In other news today, Virginia moved from "tossup" to "leans Obama."

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/election_2008_electoral_college_update

In the remaining tossup states:
Missouri: Obama +5
N Car: even
Nevada: Obama +5
Ohio: Even

Let us pray

Dear god - please make Diebold help us out again, but not so close this time - I don't want any of those dimcommies on the Supreme Court going the other way to make it even.

Got it?

ABC news had put Ohio in Obama's bag . Now its even ? Thats great news for McCain . If he can do the same in Florida that would be a trend detrimental to Obama . These are " white " voters turning their backs on Obama . How racist .

I don't doubt the veracity of these strategies. However, what kind of ignorant, bloated citizenry GOES for this stuff ? Do we even DESERVE decent leadership ? I know it's moot, as we will never get it, but are we even entitled to it ? Sheesh. :faint:

you ain't getting good leadership no matter who gets elected.

just pick who you think would be worse and either bet or vote against him

 :lol:I don't follow ABC or other polls. Just Rasmussen. I'd be surprised if Obama wins Ohio.

Rasmussen today has Mccain ahead in Ohio. Has Mccain ahead in Florida too.
