Based on $ 2 Win Bets and $ 1 Exacta Wagers:

Saturday's Belmont Tally: Wagered: $ 20.00 Returned: $ 37.80 ROI: + 0.89

Saturday's card smiled on us as Stormin' Normandy went wire to wire in the Hudson Handicap to the tune of $ 12.00. Then, in the Iroquois Handicap, Ice Cool Kitty closed famously and won for $ 25.80. Dick Dutrow and Edgar Prado ruled the track. Let's keep the party movin' with Sunday's card.

RACE 4: Two year old maidens going for a mile. # 4 CONSERVATIVE fits during these political times. The Sept. 5th debut was basically a workout as he didn't make much of a mark. But the works since have been steady. We love the Unbridled's Song lineage and this horse should be able to run all day. The connections of Shug and Edgar are rock solid. Shug gets winners at a 17% with first time routers.

PLAY: Win bet on # 4 at 4/1 and higher.

*****

RACE 5: Seven furlong maiden turfer and our top pick is debuter # 10 ALWAYS AUDITIONING. The Mizzen Mast sireage is tremendous for turf sprints. Bobby Frankel has been working wonders at the fall Belmont meet. He has trained Always Auditioning patiently. Should be ready. The outside post is a benefit as well.

PLAY: Win wager on # 10 at 5/1 and better.

*****

RACE 6: Another maiden sprint turfer. This 6 furlong distance caters more to the inside posts where the 7F turfer has been kinder to outside posts. # 2 STORMIE GRAY goes for trainer Gary Sciacca who has a +1.61 ROI on second time grassers. Freud is a more than solid sire for turf sprinters. The inside post suits as will the likely balloonish price.

PLAY: Win bet on # 2 at 5/1 and higher. Exacta box 2 with 7.

****
RACE 7: # 6 EXCELLENT SOLDIER has the lone presser style in a speed laden field. Look for Jeff Sanchez to sit patiently and overtake the rest. # 10 MANUEL R tries the grass for the first time and Trippi is his sire. Bruce Alexander ships in from Jersey and he wins 25% with dirt to turf maneuvers.

PLAY: Win bets on # 6 and # 10 at 4/1 and higher. Exacta box 6, 10 with 3.

****
RACE 8: Can't shake this Bruce Alexander. We like his # 7 TRIPPIN' UP to repeat after his maiden Philly win. # 9 CHEETAH TRAIL has a shot trying the weeds first time.

PLAY: Win wagers on # 7 and # 9 at 5/1 and higher. Exacta box 7, 9 with 5.

***

RACE 10: # 1 RING BERNADETTE is a pure trainer play as Jimmy Jerkens wins 22% at first time on turf. Breeding is suspect and post is poor. But sometimes trainer intent can supersede the rest.

PLAY: Win bet on # 1 at 6/1 or better.
