mr. paul mentioned the year 1971. i suspect he means when the united states and the rest of the world went off the gold standard and went to the dollar standard.

1971 is 37 years ago. there has never been a country to last more that 75 on a basis of fiat currency. hopefully we get another 38 years from here.
