This is what this thief wants to do to reward you for working and taking car of your families.....this is Obamanomics.....STEAL it from you. Maybe he should consider spreading the responsibilities around.

i LIKE SARAH. SHE CALLS THEM AS SHE SEES THEM.

Don't like it-then straighten up and fly right.
The truly frightening part is the spend yourself rich mentality through a gov program.

If you think times are bad now, just wait.

This tells us nothing. First, it's on Fox, which makes it as reliable as a screen door on a submarine. Second it's only ten seconds long. How can you say what anyone's plan is in ten seconds? Third it appears to have been edited between the "plumbers" question and Senator Obama's response. It seems that there was something (probably a lot) before Senator Obama said, "I don't want to punish you..." Fourth, who is the "Plumber?" Is he a working plumber, who draws a salary from a plumbing contractor. or is he the owner of a plumbing business?
The Obama tax plan (as has been said time and time again:bang: ), would LOWER taxes on 95 % of working families earing under $250,000 per year. And, it would provide tax incentives for businesses which create American jobs.

I keep hearing this "Redistribute the wealth" slogan from the Neocons. The only redistribution of wealth that has been occurring under Bush-Cheney is from the poor and middle class to the Wealthy! The top 1% of people controls 38.8% of the wealth in this country. They pay 24.8% of federal taxes. (This includes income taxes plus other Federal Taxes such as Social Security) On the other hand, the bottom 60% of the people control 5% of the nation's wealth. They pay 15% of Federal taxes.

This information, and much more, can be found at http://www.osjspm.org/101_taxes.aspx

Here is a longer version of Tom's video. The Obama clip is the same but it is followed by a longer discussion between two Fox stooges (Sorry, I couldn't resist) and a Democratic spokesperson, Bob Beckel. Pay particular attention to Bob Beckel as that is where the truth can be found. Also pay attention to the female stooge's (oops, sorry again) repetitive use of the word socialism.
Here is a good rule of thumb. When you hear a right wing commentator use the word "Socialism" in a blog piece, an opinion piece, a forum, or in a TV commentary, substitute, for the word "Socialism", the word "Bogeyman". It gives you a much clearer sense of what the speaker is trying to accomplish

You sound like you know something about media. Could you explain to me the difference in a story on Fox or MSNBC? Do you think they're equally biased?

FOX has the greatest show ever made on TV - the Simpsons ! :)

As for its delusional and whacked out News division, I always go to O'Reilly as the poster boy for the lunatic neocon right. If you can't badger and outshout the person you're interviewing, make sure you selective twist the video to fit your thesis.

As for that Andrea Tantaros, SHE'S the conspiracy theorist that was screaming that Newsweek ran a bad picture of Sarah Pale Ale... a strategem picked up by more than one here. :bang:

My opinion. Just my opinion. MSNBC has a prepondence of on air talent with a definite Liberal bent. I.E. Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow.
But they also have conservative on air talent, such as Joe Scarborough (of "Morning Joe") and Tucker Carlson (Who had a show until recently and is still "Chief Campaign Correspondent" ...whatever that means... Also they have stable of conservative analysts and guests.

So, my answer to your question is: MSNBC isn't biased, it's correct;)

Refreshing to know your taste matches your intellect, and that's good.

Nix that. It's bad.

Scarborough a conservative? If you say so.

So, you went from 'screen door on a sub' for what you don't like, to 'isn't biased, it's correct' for what you do like? I gotcha. Stand tall as you speak for volumes of people just like you.

Say fella's (Rookies & mostpost) could you bring some new material? Mothership directives are real tired. Have any thoughts of your own?

How refreshing that you don't know shite about Television. Oh wait a minute... you think Fox is "fair & balanced" ! That answers that.

What ? Like the never ending baseless lunacy here against Obama, which have heightened into: that he is a ( take your neocon pick) "Socialist/ Commie/ Baby Killer/ Economic Doomsday prophet ( after Bush !!! )/ Terrorist/ Muslim/ Non - American/ 5th columnist/ Traitor "

C'mon stick a Willie Horton faint into that prose. The more insane McCain/ Palin's campaign sounds ( like many here)... the BIGGER his majority in 3 weeks.

Keep it up ! ;)

From the Letter to the Editor Winston-Salem Journal October 14, 2008

Manner Accustomed

Let me see if I get this right: Because of Wall Street's insatiable greed and the Bush administration's deregulation, now the poor and the middle class are being forced to bear the burden of a $700 billion bailout so that domestic and foreign investors still can live in the manner they are accustomed to.

I know that on my level, if I owe taxes and don't pay, the government will garnish my wages or take my house. If I can't afford a particular car or house, the banks won't finance it. If I am late on my electric bill, the power company will shut off my service. So please explain to me how investors can cry bankruptcy and we the American people now owe Wall Street? I see no fancy cars sitting in my driveway or a vacation house in the islands. I have no receipts from fancy restaurants with $300 bottles of wine. Shouldn't I have these if I just signed on for a debt such as this?

Will the government, after the stocks start rising again, make provisions so that Wall Street is forced to pay back the people and share the windfall?

I watched two videos on the net of Obama's biography. Both well done, and yes, he has some academic achievements.

But something in both of those videos is missing?

Besides, being a "community organizer" (social activist) and a lawyer, what has Obama ever worked at?

In the videos, they explain that he left Hawaii and went to Los Angeles, Columbia and ultimately to Harvard to school. They claim that his family couldn't really support him and he amassed student loans.
No problem yet.

But I find it very very strange, that there is no mention anywhere of what Obama did to finance his own education.
Yes. Many students take loans. But the majority of students that I have known have worked at McDonalds, car washes, forestry, moving furniture, gas stations and what have you during the summers to reduce the size of the loans that they have to take to go through college.

I find absolutely no mention of Obama ever working as a teenager to help his grandparents or himself. I find this very very strange.
Where is this man's work record and why is it not ever mentioned?

Good question. I first had a job when I was 10 and my daughter worked at 14 and throughout High School, prior to University- so I wondered the same.

I don't believe Obama's grandparents had much money. His grandmother worked, but his grandad was more at loose ends during the Hawaii years. I'm reading " Dreams of my Father " and there is mention of Obama working in construction while attending College. How long ? Unknown.

Perhaps, he was building his oratorical skills ;) rather than taking side jobs; because the book mentions that he lived frugally and also had to take out student loans after University. He started full time work in 1983 in NYC for a year, prior to leaving to be a community organizer, where he took a serious hit in pay.

The rest you know.

Chickenhead, or Parson's nose, you don't believe that.
I don't believe that, so let's not promulgate what he didn't probably do.

The Question remains:

1.What did he do during his summer holidays?
2. What did millions of other young people going to school, college, .. do?

Sort of like trading up to a new wife when the old one becomes crippled in a car accident?

I think however there was enough for her to move into a spiffy new hut.

All credit worthiness validated by the trusty old brown paper bag test I presume?
