I have just started to get into reading Taulbot's lessons and I can now see where a lot of programs got their ideas from.In the 1950's he was writing about matching horses, keeping models,2nd call time and trainer intent. You mostly hear about Quirin's work but to me Taulbot was the one that got the ball rolling.Cappers such as Pizzolla and Giles do acknowledge that he was their mentor.

Rule #1
Whenever you see a horse with good long shot angles in his chart, especially if he’s been maneuvered by his trainer to get a price, and that horse has no serious knocks against it, you should make it your business to wager on this kind of horse without fail, every time.

Rule Number Two that should always be remembered: Smart trainers do not waste sharp horses.
