Love this weekend. Relaxing Sunday and a Columbus Day extra day of racing at Belmont. Sunday's card is solid. So, let's get cracking.

RACE 2: Two year olds and not one of the entrants has run a race. Do we run away or do we put the numbers in the hat and pick the winner? Au contraire, this race is one we can thrive on. Breeding stats and trainers success are keys in that order. # 1 SHEIKH'S SERENADE debuts for Mott and Castellano. gets the rail . Three things impress: sire, dam's sire, and the dam has two 2yo winners out of two starters. # 4 J.J. CUVEE is sired by Cuvee, a lesser known sire who is showing great propensity for getting early winners. #9 DATT'S LADY DI goes for Mark Hennig who had a couple winners this week. The dam's sire haas 80% 2 year old winners. We like that.

PLAY: Win bets on # 1, 4, and # 9 At 4/1 and higher.

*******
RACE 3: Pretty competitive tilt and we are going to go for a price. # 2 OPEN SKIES has been improving in recent weeks. The six furlong distance at Belmont has been playing to closers this week which is usually against the norm. Open Skies has some staying power. The first and third finishers in her last race at Monmouth have gone on to win.

PLAY: Win wager on # 2 at 5/1 and higher.

*****
RACE 5: The inner turf has been playing heavily to inside posts. That's a good start. But you have to have some talent and in this maiden grass heat, some breeding. We have four fillies spotlighted and we will demand a price since it is a competive race. # 4 STRIKE THE BELL who has Mizzen Mast as her sire. # 5 FLYING SPUR is trained by Bill Mott and has Giant's Causeway as a sire. # 7 SIREN SERENADE has two less than stellar dirt races and this may help in the price. McGaughey and Prado are money in the bank.# 8 FAST TIGRESS has Kimmel as her trainer and he gets 20% for his second time turfers.
PLAY: Win bets on # 4, 5, 7, 8 at 5/1 and higher.

*****
RACE 6: Once again, we are going to center on a closer at the six furlong distance. Three years old reign supreme at this time of year in allowance conditions. # 3 OMMADON'S FRENZY comes off a subpar turf race and Billy Badgett has been having a phenomenal meet. The filly likes Belmont with a win and placing in 4 starts.

PLAY: Win bet on # 3 at 5/1 and higher.

****
RACE 8: We are looking to two horses with class and closing ability. # 3 FORGET THE JUDGE seems to always have trouble in his race. Steady, steady, steady is the consummate running line for him. Channing Hill gets the mount and he has innate ability to get the best out of horses that seem to be finished. Look for a price. # 4 COME CLOSE has won at this level and should be right there at the end.

PLAY: Win wager on # 3 and # 4 at 4/1 and higher.

****
RACE 9 : # 1 SHEETS has a great post and some early speed in a race that is devoid with early pace. # 2 TROUBLE MAKER is the best closer by far in this stakes race.

PLAY: Win bets on # 1 and # 2 at 4/1 and higher. Exacta box # 1, 2 with the # 8.
