I've used this cliché once this week, but I'll use it again... The whole world is a stage.
This election is great theater. Or as Bob Costa's might say, "Unscripted drama".
McCain is seen as playing the role of Hoover. Obama is seen as playing the role of FDR.
I'm not sure what McCain has to do to overcome this. I don't think the character assissination tactic is going to work. It fires up the base, but I'm not sure it is going to get votes from the independents. I could be wrong.
But it seems to me that even some of the liberal republicans are going to disapprove of this vitriolic strategy.
It's the economy. That's the big issue.
GWB has taken a lot of flack from the left for abusing his power. Now the Alaskan panel finds Palin abused power in the firing. To a lot of people that looks like more of the same. McCain needs to distance himself from Bush. Palin helps attracts the votes from the base. But McCain needs indies.
That's my 2 cents. I look forward to your replies. I'm all ears. :)
