Trying again with a second time starter in the 6th race Saturday - Payton d'Oro. She slipped last time about three steps out of the gate and then was inside all the way on a very sloppy racetrack and took alot of mud in the face. Terry Thompson told me they had room inside at the top of the stretch but Payton didn't think so, so wouldn't go through the hole and just followed the pack until he got her outside late and then she started running. He begged to ride her back and said expect a big improvement. Trainer talked very highly of her off a couple of 47 1/2 mile works and she fired a bullet 48 1/2 mile work a few days ago in preparation for Saturday. As someone said my trainer isn't usually wrong and he thinks she's good she probably is. She has been in the bit since the last race so I know she is planning to redeem herself. At 6/1 morning line put her in the tri's and super's as there are about five thowouts in there with her.
