The racing form says he's 11-1 1 0 and he just had another short priced favorite run up the track in the 8th race.

Is that a mistake in my racing form that he's only 1 for 11? Or, is it 11 for 11 and they just forgot one of the digits?

The Hawthorne surface has been tiring and favoring closers on the outside, for what it's worth. A rare situation in Illinois, so far, where the speed held better on the artificial surface than it has on dirt.

He won the first off the claim at a horrid overbet. That's about all we are seeing from him.

I wouldn't make too much of the small sample size. He'll be above 20% by the end of the meet.

Maybe he forgets how to train at Hawthorne......

More likely.....he forgot his medicine bag at Arlington. He needs to send Brandon Meier over to fetch it for him.

My trainer advised me I could bet horses going from dirt to poly but not to bet horses going from poly to dirt until second start. He said horses are fitter after running on dirt and usually short coming off poly.

Sounds logical but horses that train on the poly and dont just ship in for the race also do pretty well.
