McCain - buy up all the bad mortgages and renegotiate them at a lower value.
That's you and me paying for bad debts, even though WE paid our debts.

Obama - health care is a RIGHT. That means you and me pay for those who don't. I get to pay for my own and someone else's.

GD John McCain
GD Barack Obama.

Both are an embarrassment to this country.

I wish I had a dog in this fight but I sure don't.

They said that we needed a bailout to cure the short term credit crunch. Then they bought short term loans. Now it is purposed that we buy folks houses who bought too much in the first place.

Heck at least the health care issue affects everyone instead of a select few.

The one thing I guess we can do is throw a good party. 440k for AIG execs to celebrate getting free money seems excessive to me but what do I know. It was probably universal health care kicking in to lower stress for those execs.

The best part is that either McCain or Obama will be leading this country shortly and that should make us all sleep well at night. Shouldn't it?

You are correct, Tom. I have said all along that the easiest solution to our problems is to let those that fail, fail. This bailout should force the sales of companies assets and liquidate them.

But no. Those damned CEO's are still "getting theirs". It is not right.

Obama's financial advisors were on the board of fallen institutions.

Which crook will do the least harm? Seriously?

Have you ever seen such a joke as this election? There is no journalism. The media got paid off. nuff said. They can't be trusted.

I was chatting with my neighbor the other day and he made the comment that he was voting for Obama because he is the first n****r to run for president. I looked at him and he said,"I can say that becasuse I am Black and you're not".

I said this has nothing to do with race and he said I should try telling that to the rest of the public.

Then he said, I am not voting for McCain because Sarah is too damn decent to send into that cess pool of snakes..

I have officially surrendered. People are voting out of fear based on shit that don't exist.

Or the other possibility is that my meds have more control over me than I think.

Either way, I am going to lose this one.

AIG forgets that they are now a gov't corporation. If a gov't department spent this kind of money taxpayers would be fuming. It's time taxpayers let AIG know who is calling the shots now.

Well obviously, it not the taxpayers.

That masses had their chance to vote for Lyndon Larouche in election after election and passed. They had their chance to vote for Ron Paul this year but they did what the TV told them. The masses are hapless and the wake up call will kick in soon.

Well, Sammy, I agree. About all we can do now is get as many to vote third party as possible. Send a message that hopefully will attract some Americans to run in the next elections, as opposed to the garbage we were served up this time. We need some national movement to pick one guy to show a huge groundswell of support. In the meantime, we need to vote for deadlock in congress, to keep them at bay until we can oust enough of them.

Who are the third party candidates this year? Maybe I'll vote for one of them?

On Wednesday, AIG said the "business event," hosted by one of its subsidiaries, was for independent life insurance agents. It said the event was planned "months before" it received the loan last month, and no AIG executives from headquarters attended.

AIG's effort to correct the record on the event came after White House spokeswoman Dana Perino had added on Wednesday to criticism of the event.

"I understand why the American people would be outraged," she said at a White House briefing.

President George W. Bush did not intend to benefit industry titans when he approved the bailout of AIG and a wider $700 billion Wall Street rescue package, she said.

"REWARDING FAILURE is something we have a very hard time swallowing," Perino added.

So what did our government of proven morons do today about the AIG ROBBERY?

They friggin' gave them 37 billion more dollars!!!!!!!

Last week that little whore Bush was out there lying through his teeth about the great crisis and how that bill had to be passed and yadda yadda, the dipstick went on like a trained parrot.

What I want to know is, where the HELL is that POS dirt bag today? The presidency is not a part time, but this scum bag is out to lunch.

The lefties here are 100% correct....BUSH = BAD, STUPID, WORTHLESS

Meanwhile, we keep sending 12 billion a month to Iraq. Some tell that air-head he is our president, not thiers. I don't think he know that.

> Subject: surgeons

>

> Five surgeons from big cities are discussing who makes the best patients to operate on.

> The first surgeon, from New York , says, 'I like to see accountants on my operating table because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered.'

> The second, from Chicago, responds, 'Yeah, but you should try electricians! Everything inside them is color coded.'

> The third surgeon, from Houston, says, 'No, I really think librarians are the best, everything inside them is in alphabetical order'.

> The fourth surgeon, from Los Angeles chimes in: 'You know, I like construction workers.. Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over.'

> But t he fifth surgeon, from Washington, DC shut them all up when he observed: 'You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains and no spine, and the head and the ass are interchangeable
