Years of betting this track has me not wanting to bet it . Is it an insiders track? Twice this last week I have seen horses go off at extremely low odds, less than 2 to one. One was 15 -1 ml and got bed down continuously from 7-1 down to 3-2. Won by 10.. Then today a horse was bet way down that no way was supposed to be favorite... won also. Are these types of moves normal there? Do they usually perform like that??

Nice to visit but I won't play there.
Don't force the issue-too many others will take your $$
Find the ones where you are successful and stick with those.
I have many on my no play list - TP among them.

opening week at any track can produce surprises....
over the past three years betting races @ Turf Paradise, one thing
I've learned is the ML is not always "spot-on"...take advantage
Play their .50 cent Pick-4's, & against their ML fave's..have fun!

Like to play there but the biggest negative is the 20% takeout on straight bets.

I thought this was a boycott track due to no ADW betting for residents of AZ?

No kidding... I even cringe at the thought of having to play a contest card there...

Yesterday in the 9th, 5/1 ML, opens at 3/5, goes off 1/1 and despite a bad trip blows them away.

I follow two trainers there and play their horses when appropriate. Other than that, I don't touch the track. The purses are too small, and in my opinion, chicanery is necessary for the horsemen to stay in business.

It is pretty tough to catch the wise money runners at Tup.The pools are so darn small and the late, late money hard to catch in time.Last minute big odds changes, both up and down common.Class droppers in those awful bottom and near bottom level restricted claimers seem to win more than their share, although prices tend to be short.

I must be missing something here - how do you get 5/10/11 WPS out of 14 starts- Amazing:rolleyes:

.

I queried the last 2 years at this track with the conditions you outlined above.

I got 32 horses that qualified, of those 6 won at an average price of $6.13, a loss of over 40 cents on the dollar.

I had 12 place, at an average price of $3.07 for another huge loss.

I would not run out and tap your savings to bet these horses.

7 months of data is what I have.......and some last year. Guess mine was totally different.

7th- #4, (5/1ml)paid $5.40`(Troy Bainum trainee, beating even-money shot)
8th- #4, (8/1ml)paid $7.20(2nd choice in final betting; 3-for-7 over TuP Turf)
9th- #2, (5/1ml)paid $11.(4th betting choice in wide-open betting, only 2008 two-time winner in field)

A horse that wins always places/shows as well. In other words, 11 of the 14 starters hit the board. 5 First, 5 Second, 1 Third, 3 Off the Board.
