Part of me wants to like Michael Silver. He's a sportswriter who isn't afraid to shoot from the hip, even when his opinion may go against conventional wisdom.

Here? He's nuts. The man is actually DEFENDING a guy who has destroyed three teams (49ers, Ravens, Eagles) with his antics, and who apparently hasn't learned the errors of his ways, even as part of one of the most dynamic offenses in football.

Terrell Owens shouldn't be defended. He should be ignored and used as a decoy on every single play until he gets the message to shut up and play the game. Of course, he'll never get the message, seeing as how he's gotten everything he's ever wanted over the course of his career.

Good receiver? Yes. Good clubhouse influence that should be stood up for after all these years? Hardly.
