I wouldn't back up the truck yet but there may be a few at least compelling for trades.

Not yet -- but I think sooner rather than later, yes.

One talking head on CNBC this AM said start now, 1/3 here, another 1/3 in a couple of months then the last 1/3 after the new year. I believe he was talking about new money.

possibly BNI

Any specific reason why BNI over CSX or UNP?

Or CNI or KSU for that matter?

I looked at KSU well over a year ago. Their reach into Mexico was appealing but as I recall there was some questions I had about their debt -- I passed.

I know IBD has KSU rated very highly.....I think CNI could be interesting since Canada is such a big source of potash and coal. I know those sectors have corrected significantly over the past 2 months but it might be a little overdone.

But that rating in IBD is just a starting point.

I admit it has been a long time since I looked at KSU. I'll take another look later this week.

Lots of stocks to be used as trades, and thats all i feel comfortable with right now. Even at that, i am using certain indicators for my timing for both long and puts. The big name stocks will move the most as you can imagine. aapl, goog, rimm, isrg. Those are the ones that can make you some money, but you have to be reactive. To me it makes much more sense to jump on a moving train than trying to guess which way it will move. Best of luck to you in these wild times....both fun and scary at the same time. rbj

I think you are fine to wait it out.

I see another 15-30% decline for these markets, the end of the year stuff and the refi, etc. these companies are going to have to do, if they need credit are going to be a killer.

There is one "tipping point" moment and I don't know what it could be , but if it happens this thing will drop like a ton of bricks.

Plenty of time to hop on in mid next year or so, it would take the deal of a lifetime to get me back in now other than just play money.

BNI well run company. If we start to use coal for enery they will haul a lot of it. It is a channeling stock for me buy 95 or so sell 102 or so.

Not really, still in the channel, i am thinking the tipping point move will be in 2500 range.
There may not be one in the next 3-4 months, but I am betting a little that there will.
