What do you love about him besides the price? He's a need the lead E7. There's an E8 on the rail and and two E6 horses in the field. Cant see it.

I'm somewhat interested in what Kodiak Kowboy has to offer today.

eastie,

I could tell ya Grand Couturier was a lockola. Just ask me. :D

Seriously, three 2/1's looked good today, and I sneeze at no one that takes that price in moderation.

Red Giant in the 10-furlong affair at Oak Tree, and GC in the ninth at Belmont (and I'm forgetting the third) looked good, but I prefer the psychologically tougher, streakier way of playing midshots and longshots.

I considered a Hysterical Lady-Street Boss double, which might pay $17 0r $20, but ... nah. Good luck to all, and pick your spots today. Tons of decent races.

bet $100 to place on the :5: as a saver, what a puker beat for 2nd :(. sickening. worst part is I thought I lasted. when they put up the 1 I almost fell down.

That is :( -ifying. Still some decent heats later on, including the 10-furlongs distaff turfer, wherein my special free release ( :D ) is Valbenny.

I did not imagine that both Hysterical Lady (loser, anyway) and Street Boss would be 3/5 shots.

See, I think Koriner took Black Seventeen east to get off the Astrodirt. On the fake stuff, even hickory speedballs manage to get run down, whereas Belmont, no speedcrazy track itself, at least gives the speedfreaks a fighting chance.

I disagree. The horse already had come east to Saratoga 2 races back. Horse has won twice on artificial tracks so I dont think that was an issue. Even though I knocked your horse,I did see that Potts was 4 for 5 with the horse and 1 second at the distance. That is my reasoning why the horse won. I just didnt think the Jock/horse combo could overcome the pace of the race. To Potts credit(and yours) he did.Next time I come to Vegas, the Buffet's on you.

Delightful Kiss at GGF was the other 2/1 shot. Pretty much a 2-horse race, but without Astrodirt, this guy might disappoint --- he just gets too far back.

Light,

I saw the pace battle coming, but KK, the main beneficiary, looked like not enough horse. Sure enough, he loomed midstretch off a perfect journey, but came up empty. First Defence, a fine animal himself, should maybe get third, but a wicked pace can affect the stalkers, too.

I watched the Black :1: :7: races at GGF (behind Bonfante on wax) and Saratoga, and despite sizzling paces, he kept battling. Fabulous Strike was the only alternative to me, and he was almost playable at 2/1.

in the post race interview Koriner said he was staying away from the new Santa Anita track............. just in case.........??? Whatever that means.

He did say something like, "I wanted back on regular dirt"
