An excerpt from an article that I read today in the 20 August 2008 edition of Jane's Defence Weekly (page 17):

"Several days of fighting between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) ended on 13 August with the peace process between the government and the separatist group in serious jeopardy."

I heard all those references in regard to Sarah Palin, but I didn't make the connection that she was Muslim until now. :rolleyes:

A couple of days ago I posted this about a google search I did about the acronym MILF. I repeat, I have never seen or heard of MILF before.
Since I made that search, I have receive several spam emails to my google gmail account with the titles containing MILF. Has google sold my email to spammers or is it intentionally directing spam to my email box?

If you do a google search for any unique term it is amazing how many ads will appear on your browser.

I meant when you did your google search of "milf", did you go to any of the sites returned from your search? If you did not, that's scary and the spam could have originated just from the search (google).

No I didn't click on any of the sites. I could see what the sites were about without entering any of them. The spam originating from a google search is what i'm scared of.

Well, to test the theory, simply search on something else you've never searched before and see if you start getting spam from that particular industry.

you don't have to click on any of the links. Several websites that are benign can mine your list of google searches when you "pass through"
