I'm interested in the opinion of all parties as to which horses appear to be
serious contenders(top 4).

Predicted weather is beautiful, fast/dry track

I don't feel you need to go four deep...three will suffice:

Informed Decision
Love Co (longshot special - using race three back)

my "dream call" of the race (insert Tom's voice here)...
"Overandabeauty catches a flyer out of the gate, & opens three on the field in the first quarter-mile..."
"at the half, Overandabeauty's lead is down to one & a half, as Spritely, who was a step slow out of the gate, is fighting Mike Luzzi's restraint.. Tar Heel Mom sits a perfect trip from the rail in third... Channing Hill has Honest To Betsy sitting off Tar Heel Mom in 4th, with Love Co. & Ramon Dominguez happy biding their time in the two-path in fifth..."
"as they reach the 8th pole, Spritely engages Overandabeauty... who responds to urging, & has another gear, repulsing Spritely...Tar Heel Mom can find no more, & Love Co. has been joined by Informed Decision on the outside...
and from out of NOWHERE, here comes SET PLAY, flying up the rail ... Set Play & Overandabeauty...
It's Set Play by a length at the wire..
Love Co.,Informed Decision, & a stubborn Overandabeauty wind up in a three-way photo for the place & show!" :faint:
FINISH Name - WIN PLACE SHOW
:3: SET PLAY $10.80 $6.20 $4.00
:7: Overandabeauty $ 7.00 $5.80
:4: LOVE CO. $5.00
$2 Exacta (3~7)pays $57.00
$2 Trifecta(3~7~4)pays $310.40
$2 Double(9~3)pays $39.10
$2 Pick-3(3~9~3)=$188.80

Interesting..

my reason for asking is I pinhooked Set Play ,and I'm looking forward to
being iin the Paddock today.

My only issues are synthetic to dirt and "x" bute.

I'm thinking this race is a prep for a bigger purse prior to the close of
Bel.

FYI, she was consigned to Three Chimmneys about 6 months ago.

Thanks for the response

Thanks to all for your advice, most of which was on target.

I spoke to Peter Miller, trainer of Set Play, after the race who believed SP may have bled through her lasix.

Her next scheduled race is a stakes race in KY with a 300k purse, but frankly,
I wouldn't be optimistic of her chances based on her performance on Saturday.

By the way, Bombs Away, I believe you were mentioned yesterday on TVG
with respect to your posting which I loved!

Best regards to all

I'm not a VET or a trainer, but SET PLAY went from "Loaded for Bear" to "Running on Empty" in 50 yards around the 8th pole. Set Play sure looked like a bleeder to me!
My "Dream Call" of the race was OK for the first 660 yards, at least Frank Mirahmadi got a chuckle out of it!

Something was obviously going wrong with Set Play down the lane. I sure thought she was going to be in the picture turning for home.
