A few folks have had installation problems with the new TIPS, probably due to the new updating features. This is due to folks, mostly with XP, not having the most recent version of XP.

WHETHER OR NOT YOU BUY TIPS, ALL USERS OF XP SHOULD KEEP THEIR VERSION OF XP UP TO DATE. TO DO SO, LOG ONTO THE FOLLOWING SITE:

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com)

You might have to install several things to keep your machine up to date, but it's pretty good about guiding you through it. You especially want to make sure that you EVENTUALLY get Service Pack 3 installed (you might have to install some minor things first).

IF YOU WANT TO KEEP AN XP MACHINE GOING FOR AWHILE, AS I DO, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS MORE HIGHLY. YOU SHOULD ALSO CHECK INTO IT AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH TO SEE HOW THINGS ARE GOING.
