The guy takes an undefeated pitcher and loses with him first out! Imagine if he were a jockey? We would all be writing how bad he is and how he should be gone!
Milwaukee deserves to be watching TV in October and unfortunately Sveum has to prove his "chops" with a team that was in a decline before he took the reins.
I think the only people happy with this decision are the Phillies, Mets, and Ray Durham! ;)
Seems the stadium is jinxed as well, since Houston was the "home" team there and could only manage 1 hit in 2 games.
Can the Mets hold on for the wild card? Will Chucky Manuel once again win the division with a mediocre August pick-up and and Pat Burrell striking out more than an ugly pimply faced kid at a high school dance? The next 11 days will tell the tale!
Good thing racing isn't running baseball or they would make the Red Sox/Yankees series "when and you're in".
