Even the View is now challenging McCain's increasing flip flops. Crooks and Liars takes him on.

On ABC’s The View today, host Joy Behar complained to John McCain that “you used to be more of the Maverick, then you sort of turned.” “In what way?” McCain asked. “You became much more lockstep, I think, with your party, with George Bush’s policies,” Behar answered, adding, “I don’t see the old John McCain. … I understand why - you want to get elected.” McCain issued this challenge in his defense:

I’ve been through this litany before, where I say, “ok, what specific area have I quote changed?” Nobody can name it. … I am the same person and I have the same principles.

Here at C&L we’ll take that challenge and it only took a few minutes to prove him wrong.

John Kerry did a good job on McCain

I don't understand how Behar's question and C&L's copy and pasted response by Sec have anything to do with one another. But then again, I ain't no self-hating American either...

financial institutions are crumbeling and burning up into ashes, and you are complaining about some polition flip-flopping.

hey pal they all flip-flop from either side, when it comes down to it there ain't no difference between a leftie or a rightie, both are equal opportunity pickpocketers that will fleece you out of all your money and property that they can put their hands on and give it to their friends.

Well ,since this was the mantra of the 2004 GOP I thought it might be ncie to revisit when it's the other side flip flopping all over the place. Interesting to listen to their double standard arguments.

I know the financial institutions are crumbling. I've known this was coming for years. It's only going to get worse. And the same people who helped put an administration in office that has contrbuted to this fiasco, is still defending them, and supporting more of the same. If Repubs and Dems wre the saem you wouldn't see such vitriole in this campaign, and you wouldn't always have massive deficits with Repubs in office. Yes, they both pickpocket you, but do you want a party that steals your house or one that just takes your loose change?

You mean the dems, Sec? The ones who pressured financial institutions to make loans to people not qualified?

Sec, I'll go with "loose change"...and i'm not keen on those massive deficits either, even though the Right Recliners must truly believe there's always a free lunch that comes with the way their guys govern...everything's great :jump: - tell the people what they want to hear  - never have to pay :liar: - and then whoops.

whatever you say its always the democrats, republicans refuse to comprehend that they are no different then the dems. yes they steal bigger, but in the scope of things who really cares. the only thing is if the republicans catch you stealing you go directly to jail. the democrats give you a few months then you go to jail. neither one lets you steal, they both dream up ways to steal!!!

financial institutions are crumbeling and burning up into ashesAs well they should be. It's not the job of the President of the USA or the USA government to save these irresponsible "financial institutions."

As far as I'm concerned, these "financial institutions" that are crumbling are nothing more than pathetic gambling addicts. They took on way too much risk and now they are paying the price.

Their "crumbling" has nothing to do with any real or perceived recession, but everything to do with huge errors of judgement.

If you or I invest our life savings into one penny stock and then lose everything, is the government going to come and bail us out? Of course not.

Good riddance Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, Lehman, and any other "professional" Wall Street institution.
