I am at my home near Charlotte NC and due to the hurricane there is a run on Gasoline.

Every gas station in town is swamped or already out of gas. Prices range from 3.75 to 5.67 just south of Charlotte in SCarolina.

I witnessed one minor fist fight in one of the lines..........Amazing...........

Stations are also limiting purchases to 10 gallons.

A buddy and I were contemplating a run up to Ohio for the weekend and have now decided not to go. No sense getting stuck somewhere without gas.

We've seen oil drop about 30% from its highs....yet gas has come down only 5 to 7% where I'm at. Still $4/gallon.

THere's talk about Ike being real, real bad. Targeting an area in Texas where there's many refineries. This will not be good.

Jumped tp 3.99 by 6 pm after being 3.75 throughout the day. Southern TN)

This may effectively cancel my trip to Kentucky Downs tomorrow.

After Ike has moved on, gas prices may drop again in time for next weekend.

No lines here, paid $3.36 per gallon Thurs nite (10 cents off w/ my grocery store discount card). Hopefully the refineries will be spared major damage.
