Yesterday's card went on albeit with some of the grass races switched to dirt. Due to the storm, the race schedule was rushed with about 20 minutes between races. Maybe that would be a good thing on a daily basis. Lots of rain soaked the area. So don't be surprised to see most of the grass races switched and the dirt surface to be anywhere from sloppy to good throughout the day.

Our tally thus far based on $ 2 win and $ 1 exacta bets:

Wagered: $ 25.00 Returned: $ 0.00 Profit: - $ 25.00 Return on Investment: - $ 1.00

RACE 1: With the likelihood of this race going to the dirt, the Main Track Onlys will play a big part in this tilt. But we like # 8 FLIBBERJIT who has run admirably on the dirt. Her sire Arch is an 18% mud winner and we are pleased by Flibberjit's early speed. Could be a wire to wire winner.

PLAY: (Dirt Only) Win bet on # 8 at odds of 3/1 or higher.

*****
RACE 2: # 3 PHI BETA MOM has flashed early speed in her 3 starts. Throw out the dirt debut since she encountered trouble. her sire Johannesburg is an excellent wet track sire. # 5 PALACE CAT steps back up to MSW which usually would have us running but Roy Lerman has won with this move. Lido Palace has popped a few wet winners in his brief sire career.

PLAY: (Dirt Only) Win bets on # 3 and # 5 at 7/2 or higher.

****

RACE 3: This claiming race is nearly the bottom of the barrel. Horses with not enough talent and horses that have been injured and such. Let's look at two that are younger and lightly raced.# 5 DECORATED COURT ran her best race at Belmont in which she broke her maiden. Callejas is a good claiming trainer. # 7 AGENT NAZWORTH goes second off the claim for Dom Galluscio and Luzzi should put her into the early mix.

PLAY: Win bets on # 5 and # 7 at odds of 4/1 or better.

****

RACE 4: At this quirky distance of 7.5 furlong, we especially like # 6 SHOPTON LANE. Cutting back from a distance and has the lone early speed profile. Loves Belmont and has a win on a wet track. Garcia and Levine. Push PLAY.

PLAY: Win bet on # 6 at odds of 2/1 or better.

****
RACE 5: # 6 EAGER EMMA is our pick. She has been waiting patiently at Belmont while the others had their fun up at Saratoga. Shug has worked her well and she had two nice works on off-tracks at Belmont. Johnny V stays aboard.

PLAY: Win bet on # 6 at odds of 4/1 and up.

***
RACE 8: # 3 BROOKHAVEN'S MONEY and # 6 ATLAS MOUNTAIN return to do what they do best. Win mile races and win at Belmont. Both should be competitive throughout.

PLAY: Win Bets on # 3 and # 6 at 3/1 or higher.

****

RACE 9: # 1 STREET SASS has numbers to win in the off-going and should be closing like a freight train. # 5 JUST ZIP IT has the lone P (presser) running style and has winning speed figures.

PLAY: Win wagers on # 1 and # 5 at 3/1 or higher.

*****

RACE 10: If this is switched to the dirt, we like a couple who have shown some skill on the slick. # 4 BANG BANG BANG can go wire to wire and has Luzzi, a frontrunning specialist, aboard. # 7 WINDICATION goes for the crafty Scott Schwartz and we thinks this horse has no intention to run on the grass. Thus, the switch will do wonders.

PLAY: (Dirt Only) Win on # 4 and # 7 at 7/2 or higher.
