I'm re-reading the late Danny Holmes book 10 steps to winning

and was looking at his week of selections and I was wondering if anyone

could tell me the year. I checked the archives from the Racing Channel

but came up a blank. Santa Anita the date is 1/10

Race 3 the winner was Guided Dancer and paid 36.40

on 1/11 race 2 the winner was Diamond Heir and paid 8.00 the same day

race 6 the winner was Bet Birdie and it paid 12.60

if someone could tell me the year these results came in I'd appreciate it.

Does this help (i.e. does the chart have the ages)?

All thats in the book is his selections for Santa Anita during the week of

Jan 10 - Jan 15 but not the year. His other example in the book was from

Del Mar 2001. When I checked the Racing Channel Archives for Santa Anita

And Bay Meadows it doesn't list the results for Jan 2001.

Diamond Heir was foaled in 1998 and last raced in October of 2001.

Bet Birdie and Guided Dancer were both foaled in 1990 and had their last races in 1996. January 10th to 15th in 1996 would have fallen on Wednesday through Monday. Monday, January 15th, 1996 was Martin Luther King Holiday, and Santa Anita probably would have had racing that day. So Bet Birdie and Guided Dancer's races were probably from 1996.
