Remington is one of the most spacious, beautiful tracks in America. The food court is outstanding. Enjoy!

I was there on labor day and it is a beautiful track to visit. Good fans, no tix littering the floor, no profanity, reasonable prices, an excellent walking ring, a view from the terrace that rivals Keeneland etc...

Is the racing top rate? no way. But, the day was an enjoyable one and since I was there on a day that was one of their best, I can only offer opinions on that, and it was a very nice experience. If you go, go to the Players Lounge, very nice people and a good simulcast venue.

Plus, I got to spend the day with family which makes it all worthwhile.:)

The racing fans in OK (TB and QH) are as passionate as any in the country, and Remington happens to be as nice a modern facility as you'll find anywhere. It has one of the top industry execs in the country at the helm in Scott Wells, and is maybe the only 'racino' in the U.S. that has fully integrated the racing product into the casino floor plan. The OK TB Breeders have a great state-bred program that drives the thoroughbred program too.

A day or evening at Remington is about as pleasant a racing experience as you could have as a fan.

Daddy'O and Derby Trail both give about as fair and accurate picture as there is. Remington is a clean, modern racing venue and Racino, with less than Prime Time race cards. The latter is unfortunate considering the strength of management and facilities. :ThmbUp:

And the handle there was $180,373...a per capita of $12. Either 13,000 of them were there for the slots or life is really difficult in OKC. I'd believe the former.

The other four days there had the following on-track handles:

Thur 8/28 - $56,389 for 9 races
Fri 8/29 - $78,226 for 9 races
Sat 8/30 - $51,590 for 6 races
Sun 8/31 - $124,094 for 9 races

Remington is another example of slots propping up horse racing. The figures speak for themselves.

I was there. Most were there for racing. It was the 20th birthday of Remington Park. They may not have bet a lot, but I can assure you the majority of the people were not in the casino.

My husband and I were discussing that last night. I've never tried to handicap this type of racing before. Sheesh, they are FAST and SHORT. I printed off the pp's from DRF.

I did a search for Remington to see if anyone had ever been there, and here you are! I only live a couple of hours from the track. I don't know why we've never gone until now. They are having some good races Saturday. A grade 1--400 yds. stakes race in the 7th. A grade 3--300 yds. stakes race in the 8th and the Remington Park Derby race is the 9th. 400 yds grade 2. OH, and another stakes race in the 10th. 330 yds grade 1. So, it should be interesting. The races are night races.

I get to Remington 4 or 5 times during the thoroughbred meet. Exactly 2 hours from my doorstep going 80MPH:) Bet the Breeder's Cup both days at Remington and it was perfect because live racing started shortly after the last BC race.
