So I liked Ten Churros, and Spanish Ice a bit less. Figuring in my infinite wisdom that TC would go off at 2/1, I took a flyer on SI. That one scratched, of course, and guess who won and paid $9.80 ? :bang:

Weird dude. I put the whole enchilada on Ten Churros in the contest. Was only my 9th wager in the contest. Just noticed I would have to play all the remaining days to qualify for the grand prize.I got an outside shot now after hitting TC.

I had (2) today, $80 place at 30/1. Nipped by a $49-to-place piglet, or I'd be nearly even. AARGH ! :bang:

Nice try. I couldn't understand them making the 12 the fav. I knew the rail horse was the speed and that would be it for the 12.Kept looking at the rail horse but didnt have faith in the horse going 7f.$47 to place! :bang: Did have a dutch play involving the winner, netting $100. Very impressive horse.

Beamer,

Beware of Dutch play. The Dike knows all, and the Dike sees all.

Wow. I was thinking to myself to play the longest shot on the board for this closing day of the contest as it would be my only shot at winning this and what do I have to lose anyrate? Sure enough longest shot wins @43-1 but didnt play it cause I looked at the form. Its like looking at Medussa sometimes. Apparently 4 other people had the same idea and ended up beating the guy who was leading the pack for a long time. Thats the unfairness of these contests. A guy hits a bomb and suddenly he's got more bank than the guy who has been ginding it out all along. Problem is bank doesnt tell the whole story.

Photon Fiend,

Not always bank, nor is it always (EVER, in fact) the guy that leads on the PENULTIMATE day. What part of "The guy that hits a bomb on the FIRST day is no less lucky/desperate/blessed than the last day stabber" do you not understand ? :bang: , and even :( . Ah me, where are my :1a: Day tablets ? Oh, the pain. The horror, even.
