I still think these tote companies and whoever else is involved ought to have class action suits brought against them for the deception involved in the way these payouts are reported. Whether it's intentional or not it's misleading as hell and the bulk of the public doesn't know any better.

I started a thread about this immediately after it happened, had never seen such payoffs before.

what? what would you sue for? Some places I believe they require two dollar payouts be reported. If you know how the game works, you realize what it really is. if you don't, maybe you decide to start playing more, and more money in the pools never hurts.........

What is the deception? Nobody gets hurt after the fact. I agree that it is a little disingenuous, but it is what it is. I believe the reporting rules were written well before the Dime Super came about...........

.... in updating my data. A little familiarity with the pools help, and they are readily available these days. I knew as soon as the payouts were posted that it was only hit for a dime, and I then checked to see if it was two or three times.

I do believe the biggest superfecta ever was for about $699k in the `99 BC. That payout was for $1. My biggest "one that got away" story, as I singled GOLDEN MISSLE in the Place hole, and had CAT THIEF, BUDROYALE, & CHESTER HOUSE boxed up in the other 3 holes. If GOLDEN MISSLE doesn't hang down the stretch at 75-1, I'm thinking the superfecta would have paid over a million dollars that afternoon. I do remember my head hitting the table very hard.

If you don't say that amount, nobody got it, right? Then they have to say, what $0?

If no ticket has it straight, then they announce an "All" in the fourth spot, and that usually finds a winner somewhere. They payoffs themselves are expressed normally.

had the 2nd;3rd;4th horses.NOT THE WINNER:bang:

Keyed the 3rd horse. Bet him to win and had a $3 ALL-8 exacta. It was coming back $5k for $2. If he doesn't get squeezed on the inside I think he might be 2nd. Wrecked my whole day, couldn't think straight after that. :(

Payoff prices posted really are starting to bother me. Even probable payoffs. Every track has different rules it seems. Some have $1 pick 3 payoffs, some have $2 pick 3 payoffs, the same goes for superfectas and win 4's as well.
It would be nice if everything other than wps, exactors, quinellas and dd's were posted based on either $1 or even $2 consistently throughout the industry.

Believe it or not my friends wife had the 14 horse Slambino being married to Italian it sounded like a good name to her so she played the 14 horse slambino to all for 2 dollar exactas then reversed for $1.00 it hit and paid 2,500 + she said now can buy that Louie Vatane purse ha ha she is lucky like that goes about twice a year to the track. :)

It would be nice (great, in fact) if the industry would do ANYTHING consistently.
There’s just nobody running the show. It’s the wild west. :bang:

life;s a b----.a real bad beat.let me try and make you feel better.i always play the classic as my key bet.I was living in LAKE TAHOE @ the time and had just starting using YOUBET.rather then drive to the casino i played online.however due to the high volume they kept on going down.I said to myself;don;t take a chance go to the casino and bet.but it kept on coming back on.so i deceided to stay home.
while you know the rest.i had the super boxed for $1 as well as the tri.i should have also put my bet in early while it was still up.but NO I waited untill it was too late.when it hit i went nuts.I sent them an -e-mail but no responce.HAVE never used them since.

Too bad her Italian husband wasn't better in bed, and they weren't on their Xmas vacation........

She could have played Slambino with Blazing Dynamo over Key Event and Holiday Trip for the Superfecta..............

Yeah, Ralph. First a blind man hits a six-figure pick six and now this.

I'm beginning to think that I'm just wasting $5.50 a day on a DRF when I could throw darts at the Daily News and get rich.
