Wow ! Completely against the run of play (as Toby Charles would say), the USA beat Brasil in overtime.
Typical Brasilian squad, running rings around the opponents for 90 minutes, doing everything but score ( :bang: ). Then in overtime, the Statesiders punching it in. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. GOLAZO ! Then three or four near misses for the gals of Terra Australis. That's yer final, one-nil.
So great a match that ESPN Sports Center showed the goal ... PERIOD. Then on to a 5-minute dissection of the exciting ( :sleeping: ) prospects of the Fraud Squad in the basketball final.
Tune in to tonight's episode of "Who's More Now ?" Vying tonight are Brett Favre, Eliot(sp.?) Spitzer and John Edwards. Gawd, I LOVE ( :jump: ) this game !
