I presume that he remembered the " Hoof Hearted " phenom of a few
months ago. Horse ran third but was in contention the entire race. So the
announcer was really put to the task ... :jump:

5 Minezeno Kaenel Kyle 118 3.80 3.40

Hoof Hearted ran in Vancouver, another one..

Heard one that ran in Toronto years ago and got by most but the announcer who wouldn't announce York Hunt.

Perhaps you do realize it, but the response to your observation was by the gentleman that actually called the race.

I'm thinking he did hear the actual call of the race..... ya muppet.

Now that's funny. That's like bragging to everyone in the room that you're the fastest runner there and willing to put $100 where your mouth is...and Usain Bolt is sitting by the bar sipping a Red Stripe.

Oh good. Now .. tell us exactlY HOW YOU CALLED IT !! Did you run the
names together ...or .. or were you careful to distinguish the names. Perhaps
you could get a tape of the call and post it here. Call me whatever name
you want ..I HEARD THE CALL ....and since YOU ARE THE CALLER ...
let's get it straight : Did you tread lightly OR NOT ?

If not, it is at least one of the most entertaining posts in awhile...

Heres one that the late Lou Holloway told about 40 years ago.Seems that a horse named Harass was a late scratch. The track announcer came on the air and informed the crowd "to scratch Harass".Somehow it didnt exactly sound the way it was supposed to.

Don't encourage them. Trevor has become ( IMHO ) a satire of himself. He
is adding so much fluff and air ... Oops I promised not to talk about any of
the announcers ever again. But umm, well er -- Did you ever try to listen
to Trevor call DMR and immediately hear the caller from Mountaineer ?

OK here's a couple of old Brit ones from the 80's. Dont know if you will catch these as the film title "The spy who shagged me" was not understood fully here?

I'm telling you the truth. I called it Splash Hit and never even thought of the double entendre until I read your post.
