Our meet tally so far based on $ 2 win wagers and $ 1 exactas:

Wagered: $ 358.00 Returned: $ 580.50 Profit: $ 222.50 Return On Investment: +0.62 or 62%

As Ice Cube said, "It was a good day". We hit both winners in the first two races of Wednesday's card. A Linda Rice dropdown went wire-to-wire and paid us $41.40 with Crafty N P. In the second race, Relatively Ready was more than ready with a stretch run to the tune of $ 14.40 . In the sixth, we made out with a $ 15 exacta for our $ 1 bet.

So, let's play ball and try to keep it rollin' here on Thursday.

RACE 3: 7 furlong state-breds and the Hennig entry is sure to take most of the money. But we are not scared. Combined the two horses have run 10 times trying to break maiden and neither has a race up at Saratoga. Certainly not worthy of an even money odds spot. # 8 ANALYZE CAT goes second time out for Bruce Levine. Had a shaky debut at Aqueduct but has been working steadily for this spot. Particularly like the July 25th 5F bullet work at Belmont. # 3 ABOVE ALL ODDS from Jerkens/Chavez looks like a throwout at first but we like the early speed improvement last out and Jerkens wins 22% going turf to dirt.

PLAY: Win bets on # 3 and # 8 at odds of 4/1 and better. Exacta box 1 with 3, 8.
****
RACE 5: A maiden claiming turf route and we have two potentials for you. # 6 BECKHAM BEND goes for Christophe Clement who has started off slow at the meet but he is a turf maven and gets Alan Garcia to helm the ride. This firster is sired by Invisible Ink who is 17% with turfers. # 8 WESTERN DYNAMO drops from MSW and has sure handed Coa on the mount. We like the post and the ability for Western Dynamo to close.

PLAY: (Grass only) Win bets on # 6 and # 8 at odds of 4/1 or better.
****

RACE 6: Turf sprint for claimers. # 8 BUCKY CAME HOME goes on the turf for the first time and his sire is dynamite with turf sprint breeding. Like the post, early speed and early speed rider Mike Luzzi. Jamie Sanders has a +$1.81 ROI with first time on grass. # 2 RUBIDIUM ships in for Dale Capuano and is 5 for 9 in the money at this distance. # 1 THE ZIPSTER is sired by City Zip and monster with grass genes. Linda Rice saddles and that is a huge positive.

PLAY: (Grass only) Win bets on # 1, 2, 8 at odds of 4/1 or higher. Exacta 7 over the 1,2,8.
***
RACE 7: Graham Motion has been pointing this filly for this turf stakes race. No messing around here with a prep race. Top rider Prado is set and the work pattern suggests # 6 BACCHATA is chopping at the bit to reach the winner's circle. A repeat of the Oct. 9th race at Keeneland with a clean start and this one is no contest.

PLAY: (Grass only)Win bet on # 6 BACCHATA at odds of 5/2 or better.
***
RACE 8: The Ballston Spa Handicap G2. Table turning time for # 3 SHARP SUSAN. She loves Saratoga grass and Bill Mott is overdue for a good run in the last couple weeks.

PLAY: (Grass Only) Win bet on # 3 at odds of 3/1 or better.
