They have a strange night of racing coming up, with 18-horse fields, a clockwise race, 9-furlong races, et cetera. :cool:

Well, maybe it's a goof, but I believed it.

This is not the first year.
There's lots of hoopla this year because many US tracks are carrying the card on simulcast.

There's a YouTube page which somebody put up videos of last year and perhaps the year befores races.

I would recommend everyone watch at least a few of these races.Last year a guy blew the finish whipping and slashing with still a full lap to go to the actual finish.

Larry Lederman with the great call("EXTREME TO SAY THE LEAST").Goes down as the top 3 funniest things i have ever witnessed in the sport.

Most weather related race card are cancelled these days by drivers and/or the the Horseman's Assocaitions they represent, rather than the tracks themselves.

In addition, there are many cancelations these days related to computer failures which prevents the runinng of totes and simulcast wagering.

My original comment was sarcastic in comparing to the snowstorm in the video. The races were cancelled by the drivers due to the track being unsafe. I had one in to go on Tuesday so I am glad they took precautions. I don't want to put my horses at risk on an unsafe track. It is easy enough for them to get hurt as is.
