Thanks T2W

It seems to me that there is really no difference between the different printings, it seem the reviews, if not canned reviews, because they both seem to sat the exact same thing, which means one of two things the books are the same, the reviews are the same, or both.

But thanks none-the-less, I found the 99.00 amazon ones too, but was hoping for a more reasonable $20.00 price, or less, myself.

Again thanks alot

I think American Turf Monthly still has the book at $24.95. Try this link:

The newer version has his betting system that the previous edition did not, I believe. Danny is called "oddswizard" on this forum. Shoot him a message...

I heard he passed on, is this true or false??

Touchy subject, but how else do you put it?

I did send him a PM before I heard that he may have passed on, still no answer from the PM, yet.

I hadn't heard anything about that, so I did a search and sadly found this:

I am also sorry to hear of this news. I bought an autographed copy of

10 steps at Gamblers Book Club a few years ago and corresponded with him

by emails for a short time. The latest edition had more info on the money

management part and if you check oddswizard posts here you can get the

gist of his way of wagering. I picked the book up for about $25 and it was

an interesting read. You take your top 3 selections and check the odds board

to make your actual wagers. He was a strong advocate of hitting your profit

for the day and then going home. ( If you check the posts here that was

a controversial idea and sparked some debate) Danny called it the ABC

money management method. Again its sad to hear but check the posts here

because I think someone said he was a highly regarded salesman so

sometimes he was questioned whethor it was his idea on horseracing

or the actual sales pitch which was most successful. Lots of stuff on

the oddswizard right here in the archives . Good Luck !!

I had not heard that news obviously -- I didn't pick up what you were asking in the first post.

Wow, I had no idea Danny Holmes passed away almost a year ago. I'll always remember his posts about his money management system, and in fact, I was doing a little searching on him and his MM posts on this board just a few weeks ago....

I'm a little shocked that news of his passing took this long to hit PA, considering he was a member here (oddswizard) and had more than a few posts to this credit (133).

Rest in peace oddswizard.
