Not this time!!!

Great run today by Crazed and Tim Tetrick, but nothing was going to stop Dewey. Darted to the lead, took a breather after the quarter, and then turned it on at the end.

Great to see an undefeated Hambo winner.
Congrats to the connections.

That was just about the first harness race I've ever intentionally watched.

That was the second harness race I've watched intentionally this year...the other was the Meadowlands Pace...

This Dewey looked like a monster even in the post parade (if they have such a thing in harness racing....I think it's called something else)...

I saw him last year when I stopped by the Red mile on the last day of their meet. He was a monster that day too. I think it might have been his first race.

If you go this page:
Then scroll down to to the 5th from last paragraph,
then ckick in his name, you may bring up his entire race history:

I guess it wasn't anywhere near his first. It was probable the Oct. 4th race last year.

What is even better is that you can look at the whole card from The Meadowlands on Saturday and see alot of great horses from the past few years.

Mr. Feelgood - a Jug winner
Always a Virgin - a top Jug choice
Mister Big - One of the best pacers around
Won the West - Well, at least one of my favorites for several reasons

This just names a few from Saturday, plus Dewey on Saturday and Snow White on Friday. Horses like these will easily run 30-50 races in their careers, and if they lose this week, they will run them back next week. That is one of the things I love about harness racing, is that you can really follow the sport and see fun, competitive horses run quite often...

Keep an eye out for SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE, this horse is the greatest I have seen in a long time

Point well taken the standardbred breed will continue to get faster as the T-breds will not.We have seen time after time in their stake races horses not able to endure these high stressed competative events. The breakdown, pulled up, humanely destroyed is common place for the T-bred.

I have been a fan of SBSW for quite awhile now. What a amazing race in his first loss in the Meadowlands Pace. Really sucks to see that he won't be running in the Jug, though...

SBSW's race last night from Mohawk is on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G4AbLiZN_k). Looked like Keystone Horatio was giving him a run for his money, and then as usual SBSW found his other gear with about 1/8 to go and ran away with it.

Times, his narrow loss in the Meadowlands Pace was the one that stood out for me and made me a believer.

Check it out if you haven't seen it already.

Dewey may never be beaten (except for Dewey,SBSW and Art O")it's a weak year for 3 year old Trots and Pacers. I would be surprise if SBSW will ever race in the state's again.

Sad but probably true statement. He will probably stay up north, but at least we have Art Official down here...
