Race 3 - #7 Sorcerers Spell (6-1) He is part of an uncoupled entry, in which the other half Bro Lo is a front runner, while he is the best closer in a race that looks to have enough other speed signed to set up his late kick. Jockey Michael Baze has been aboard him 4 times and he has 3 wins and 1 second. All systems are go today.
Race 6 - #3 Queen Holly (6-1) Is dropping slightly off the claim by Jack Carava, which is rarely a good sign. In the case of trainer Jack Carava we have seen him make this move plenty of times with great success and Del Mar is known for trainers dropping horses to win due to the inflated purses. She has had 3 solid works for her new barn and is cutting back to 6 1/2 furlongs off a series of two turn races. She is also reunited with Jockey Aaron Gryder who was aboard her maiden breaking victory, which came here last summer at while sprinting at Del Mar.
