Does anyone know for sure what was the highest carryover ever. I remember a 1.6 million at CD a few years back after the Breeders cup

I'm thinking like $3 Mil in SoCal at one of the LA tracks.

Why would anyone play that poly-want-a-cracker surface at DMR? I played opening day and after than I'm strictly on the turf at that place. One of the objectives of this game is to win money and I don't see that happening on the poly at the beach.

Joe Harper has to be having dreams of a Sunday carryover to pump up Monday. But one has to wonder what the final pool would be if the ADW experiment had continued for TwinSpires & Xpressbet.

Someone's making some money, just not many. 200k pick 4 and 5 of 6.
Pro's, lucky #'s, owners--who knows

Someone's making some money... and someone's making some money on the lottery. But that doesn't make me want to run out and buy tickets...

Record Pick Six Carryover Sunday at Del Mar

An almost unprecedented string of longshots Saturday led to a record Pick Six carryover at Del Mar of $1,561,987, which will be added to Sunday’s Pick Six pool. The track’s previous high carryover was $1,117,973 on July 29, 1990.

The six-race sequence saw every favorite defeated, several by stout outsiders. The upsets mean Sunday’s Pick Six Pool at the track is likely to surpass the track’s all-time Pick Six total pool of $3,555,771 established on August 15, 1998.

The prices in the day’s final six races on the 10-race card were (5th) Dr. J.J. $12.60, (6th) Black Astor $11.80, (7th) Charlie’s Moment $44.20, (8th) Weekend Escape $49.20, (9th) Storm Mesa $17.60 and (10th) Gold Star Status $49. Favorites were shutout in all 10 races.

The Pick Six did pay a record consolation prize of $218,977.40 to two ticket holders who had five of the winners.

Additionally, the track set a new Pick Four standard when only three tickets tabbed the last four races on the card for a payoff of $200,000.70, crushing the previous high of $85,945.80 set last year on July 22.

The record Pick Six carryover for Sunday is the result of a three-day carryover. The previous record was a four-day carryover.

Del Mar’s total handle for the day was $20,531,679, the ninth-largest in its history.

Maybe with greater access there wouldn't have been a carryover.

Maybe, maybe not.

DMR was crazy yesterday, if you flat bet all 91 horses that ran that day, you would of made a $Net of $2.81. Considering the average $Net for betting every horses on a card yields a $1.55 $Net; that was one hell of a day for longshots

Anyone find it weird that the Harty horse who paid 50 dollars was in a race where there was lots of bumping and there was no inquiry at all? Im not saying harty caused the bump, but these judges have been known to dq horses for the littlest things yet, with a HUGE carryover on the line, they just happen to forget to look at horses pinballing off each other when a 50 dollar winner gets the nod.

The Hardy horse was the recipient of the bumping and would not have been taken down all. The bumping, while present, didn't appear that significant, or much more than normally happens in a stampede charge like that.

My point was that those judges have altered orders of finish for the most miniscule things....so, to not have an inquiry there was unusual (for their standards)

Chalk has won 7 of 51 races (13.7%) and in those seven, four have been "heavy chalk" @ under even $.

Great Post Indulto! I did not handicap any of Del Mar's races during these carryover days, since I knew I would have to go out of my way to bet it and hit it. And I assume if I did handicap it, then was able to bet it online, I surely would have had it!:liar:
