Well we are going to be a little short as need to leave for handicapping tournament in Las Vegas. Our goal is to identify some betting values and not just pick winners. Our major emphasis is to point out vulnerable morning line favorites. We have identified a race on Thursday that give us a betting opportunity.
R4 a 6 furlong claiming 25000 N2L. There are many good reasons to back the # 10 as favorite but we are betting that the horse will not improve off the claim from Trainer Ellis who may have squeezed the lemon dry. At 5/2 will take a chance with three horses depending on the board. Namely:
#5 Pack Your Bags who has the best closing kick in the race. Gets major upgrade in riders who won on the horse 3 back. Was a beaten favorite up north. Look to redeem himself today! Bet if 6/1 or better.
#6 Stomp Dance has a win and 2 close place finishes with the bug riding. Gets 11 lbs from favorite. Bet if 7/2 or higher.
#8 Syndicator out of the hot Sadler barn and attracts Garrett Gomez. Will be running on late and at a price of 7/1 or higher, worth a stab.
Also consider playing an exacta 5-6-10 over 8-10.
