Is it possible that we might actually be able to get some real numbers about injuries on different types of race tracks?

I doubt it.

My opinion is this national data base is just another delay. When various industry representatives will be asked what is being done to reduce injuries and deaths of race horses, they'll just say 'we are studying the problem and a national data base is being created. We will have a better insight into the problem once we get better data from the national data base.'
