Race 1 today. His horse is the longest shot in the field and gets out to a big lead in 23.50 at the first quarter, and romps to the win. Was this a gift?

This is a thinking man's game. If you think as you indicate by your "gift" remark, you should go to a casino and cast your fate.....Garcia did an excellent job of bringing this 3yo up to this race. This is a 3yo with a license to improve, pal And he did!

yeah that stuff happens.

i was in on corey blacks last ride before retirement. i went to high school with him and we were friends so i got on alot of winners he rode but this was definitley the easiest.2nd easiest was his rides on best pal.but for his retirement ride he was on a harris farms horse for zucker i believe and it was hitting 22/1 zero minutes to post. i unloaded on that bad boy. it was a sprint race and he was in the #1 post. he was sitting behind horses in third and the jocks in front of him veered out and opened up the red sea before the turn and he shot thru and won by a ton of lengths. no contest-easy money!!!!

alot of stuff happens. alot of times in the last week of meets you will notice alot of low-low rated trainers and low % jocks win. i usually call it charity week. theres all kinds of ways these races get filled in the last week.

Don't know about Juan's horse, but this does happen at the end of meets. Rudy Campas was ofer a meet when, on closing day, the entire field bunched up in a sprint - it looked as if they were running in slow motion - and suddenly here comes Rudy's horse plodding along in front by daylight.

It's not often that you get to have a good laugh while tearing up your ticket(s).

If so, wondering why he didn't wait until the end of the Del Mar meet ?

He wanted to go out a winner, & couldn't get this field to enter again at the end of the meet!
