When you're young, the excitement of upcoming events can be so overwhelming, you can't sleep at night!

Christmas, Easter, Last Day of School, the moments that light up your life.

As you get older, the special moments are still special, just not "Heart-Throbbing Special" as in your youth.
All that changes for older folk like me come the last week in July, however.
Wednesday, July 23rd, is CHRISTMAS for HORSEPLAYERS!
Saratoga Race Course opens for the 140th Year...Six weeks of World-Class racing...where any day of the meet you can see a future racing Superstar. Owners/trainers often save their top horses to get their pictures taken in the winners circle at "The SPA!"
Getting there is a breeze. Put the cruise control on "72", crank the tunes, fire up a cigar, sip on that 32oz. Dunkin'D Iced Java, & before you know it you're there!
Pack your cooler with food & frosty ones for the day(Beer OK-No Glass), & snag a picnic table out back. Better yet, BYO folding chairs, & head over by "The Top of The Stretch", a beautiful spot near the 3/8's pole beyond the grandstand, with great views of the Post Parade & clean bathrooms 50 feet away!
There's ton's of food & drink options if you chooses not to "cooler it". After the races, Saratoga Gaming & Raceway, 1/2 mile away, has Thousands of Video Games, Simulcast horse action, & a SUPERB Buffet for under $20. See You There!
