I taped it just to see how he would do............ I can't believe he ends up losing the contest after hitting 28 in the first round...........

Great Story........... I just wish the Reds had kept him............. :bang:

Josh Hamilton #32 CF
BA HR RBI OBP SLG
.310 21 95 .367 .552

He has 35 more RBI's than the team leader on the Reds.........those 35 runs could have made a big difference in Cincy

He hit some awesome shots JR. About five of them OVER 500 ft. Very happy for the young man to come back from the demons of drugs and booze. Did you catch the man that was serving up the pitches?? His 71 year old friend from his days as a yongster in baseball.

Good point, except removing the team leader in wins would leave a HUGE hole in the starting rotation. It was one of the best trades for both teams I have seen in a while.

Here are the "other" pitchers.

Harang 3-11 4.76 ERA
Cueto 7-9 4.67 ERA
Arroyo 7-7 5.97 ERA

AND the "fill ins" are even worse!
Fogg 1-2 7.94 ERA
Belisle 1-4 7.28 ERA
Bailey 0-3 7.00 ERA <--- the phenom!
Thompson 0-2 6.91 ERA

Just imagine this team without Volquez? He is 12-3 with a 2.29 ERA and the rest of the rotation is a joke! This team should be contending, but instead they are a joke this year.

Many good ballplayers lately.

But the 71 year old pitcher was outstanding. He might have gone his distance and then he might not have delivered what was needed.

He is the only guy there not on a pitch limit! :bang:

Imagine if you traded Hamilton for someone like Adam Eaton! Then it may be time to burn your cap!

They may send a limo for him AND Dunn! I wouldn't put it past them to finish the year with Hopper, Bruce, and Hairston in the outfield.l

Shame they waste Cordero who maybe their most valuable trade bait at this point.

He would be a fool to stay in Cincinatti at this point. They looked like a contender this year, but they seem have bought the Cubs curse on Ebay.

Pretty good 3-4-5 with Dye and Quentin and a good chance to make the playoffs.
